Refrigeration & cold chain

Fridges, freezers, cold rooms and air conditioning

From a −180 °C cryogenic store or a −86 °C ultra-low freezer holding research samples, down to the department’s office refrigerator — compressors, gas, controls and the electronics inside them.

Beyond the repair

Keeping cold equipment cold

Cold chain

Temperature records that survive an audit

Reagents, vaccines, samples and cultures are only as good as the record that proves they stayed cold. We fit continuous logging with alarms, so an excursion reaches a phone at 3 am instead of appearing in a report three months later.

Annual maintenance for cold equipment

Cold-chain failures are seasonal and predictable: condensers clog in summer, gaskets harden, defrost timers stick. A scheduled service before the hot months costs far less than a lost freezer full of samples.

Worth knowing

The failure nobody notices

A freezer that runs but drifts is the expensive failure. A unit that has stopped is obvious. A −20 °C freezer quietly holding −9 °C is what destroys a year of samples. If a unit has never been checked against a calibrated reference, that is the first thing we do — free, during the survey.
